CALIFORNIA - Recently, Microsoft announced the MSN software for Desktop (PC)-based Windows 8, which will be equipped with the ability upload up to 2GB of storage.
As reported by Softpedia, Saturday (25/02/2012), SkyDrive is a software hosting service to upload files to cloud-based data storage. Now, the software will be integrated into the Windows operating system 8 and the user can access it through a browser.
Skydrive software for windows 8 has many new features and upload files up to 2GB capacity. Users will benefit from features such as drag-and-drop to upload and download function, offline access, and better data management.
"To start, we pick up from what was learned from the Mesh and FolderShare / Sync and build applications that are simple and efficient", said Mike Torres and Omar Shanine, program manager SkyDrive.
"This application has a file size less than 5MB and takes only about 10 seconds to install. You can install only one time per PC and SkyDrive will always update itself" explained Mike.
"You can also make your entire PC into your own private cloud made, and the use of local storage media with terabyte capacity scale for easy access to your files anywhere through SkyDrive.com," said Mike and Omar.
Sources said Microsoft will release the software to plan SkyDrive Metro Style for windows 8. Applications are rumored to be available next week
