Munich - Bayern Munich showed decreased performance in the second half of this season. As a coach Jupp Heynckes accept all criticism addressed to him.
Bayern started the year 2012 with a 1-3 defeat for Borussia Monchengladbach. After that, four games after Philipp Lahm et al. only two wins are a result they have slipped to third in the standings.
At the European level, Bayern did not seem strong as shown in the group stage. Faces a "club class" such as Basel, The Bavarians defeated 0-1 in the first leg perdelapanfinal.
A series of unsatisfactory results of this of course makes the criticism overwhelm Bayern. Heynckes also confirmed these critics.
"The criticism is justified," said Heynckes who told Bild newspaper. "We are no longer playing football level, as we show until October."
"Also, I have to let the criticism it falls to me," he proclaimed ESPN.
Bayern have a chance to rise up to face Schalke 04 on Sunday (26/2). The defeat will make them drop to fourth.
